Challenges
Conscious of the technical skills of its team of consultants and partners, VFC and IMVF developed, in partnership, an action proposal for the public tender “Cascais 2030: Sustainable Development Goals as an axis of action of the Municipal Council of Cascais”. Our goal was clear: to develop a localization strategy of SDGs guaranteeing an alignment of the universal goals defined in the 2030 Agenda with the commitments and ambitions taken on by the Municipality of Cascais.
Solution
We structured our proposal around the intervention axis: Raise awareness – Implement – Achieve. We believe that only when all local level development actors, in this case all collaborators of the Cascais Municipality, are, in fact, aware of the 2030 Agenda, will it be possible to define new goals and priorities. Only then can we guarantee “leaving no one behind”.
Results
Our proposal was approved! It will be implemented by one of our partners, although we were behind all the approved creative and methodological process of the application.
