10 Oct Cooperation and consulting
The evolution of contemporary geopolitics and geoeconomics, as well as recent technological advances, are generating profound changes, not only in the international political order, but also at the organizational level and in people’s lives and behaviours. Increasing problems such as inequality, considered typical of more fragilized societies, are rising in the developed North. At the same time, in some parts of the developing world, a growth in middle classes and wealth, as well as the formation of clusters of investment and innovation, are taking place. This globalization of phenomena has compelled nongovernmental organizations and civil society to rethink their thematic and geographical scope of action, adapting their institutional and practical organization to these new realities.
It was as part of the response to these dynamics that the Instituto Marquês de Valle Flôr (IMVF) created the Valle Flôr Consulting (VFC), in order to enlarge and better adapt its activity to domains of a business nature in different geographies, and to answer to demands in regulatory and fiscal issues, in the Portuguese, European and international legal systems.
The purpose of VFC is the same as that of its mother institution: to create and develop projects and initiatives that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and, more specifically, to the improvement of the standard of living of vulnerable populations, contributing to the planet’s sustainability and to the reinforcement of public and civil society’s institutions.
The focus of our activity lays on technical assistance activities, professional training and elaboration or evaluation of specific public policies in partnership with local entities, seeking to contribute to institutional and personal qualification.
